I had the most amazing weekend traveling through Prince Edward County. We didn't know what to expect, all we knew was that we had to get away for a couple of days of random adventure.
We walked in a wilderness conservation area known as Beaver Meadows, and met a heron, a wood toad, frogs and saw how beavers had recreated the landscape. We jumped into 8 foot tall waves at Sandbanks Park, all while strong winds blew against us. Walking and jumping into those waves in the cool wind was exhilarating. And we visited a lavender farm, and walked through a violet and purple field. And so much more.
After a couple of days of travel I have a clearer heart, and feel refreshed in spirit. Washed clean by the waves. And the wood toad was so magical, blending into the forest floor. It seems like our garden has grown quite a bit, and it's only been a couple of days. I look out our kitchen window and the grapes are getting larger and larger.
We didn't cut the grapevine at home back enough this year, and a large part of our garden is canopied by the vine. It feels secluded. I had a lucid dream of sleeping covered by vines and leaves, like a cat in a garden.
