~My shadow falling over the Grand Canyon.Wow! I can't believe I haven't written in here since last year. Time to make up for it. Let's see... About a year and a bit more ago I had hurt my knee. It is still not bending fully, dislocating patella, but daily I do my yoga practice, and my strengthening exercises, and take walks and dance, and it is getting better. My boyfriend and I went raw, so that is helping quite a bit with inflammation and the chronic degeneration. You can visit our blog where we are documenting our raw and living foods journey.
We have travelled so much! We were all over Ontario last year, camping at least 6 times, and then in Budapest, Poland, Arizona twice and Nevada over the Winter. Now it is Spring here in Ontario, and we have begun cleaning out our basement and our yard, and feeling great about it. The basement we have likened to our subconscious, and the backyard to our sustenance (our garden) and sanctuary. The basement we have also likened to the bowels of our home, and it is is good to cleanse the bowels in the Spring. The garden is sprouting green, and we had help trimming out fruit trees and bushes. We may have an experienced organic gardener come and help us set up a larger vegetable garden this year, and herbal garden of course.
I am in a place of greatness in many ways. I count all that I am grateful for: my love, my family, my communities, my home, my health, my calling. And my writing, yes, my writing! I am writing almost daily, stories and journal entries that always surprise me. I never know what is next.
I have decided to only go onto Facebook once a week. What a change! I love it. I am writing more, rediscovering other hobbies (I have picked up my weaving again, and making a lot of food). Time to transfer my energies. All my old crutches are not serving me. Time to rediscover actual human relationships, and add variety into my life in new, positive, healthy and creative ways. That is my challenge and my joy right now.
